Contract/Acceptance of Terms & Conditions

Your contract is between the lead person making the booking and Fiddle Hill Cottage. The booking is confirmed once the deposit payment is made and is subject to the following conditions.

  • A breach of any of these conditions may result in a termination of our contract without refund.
  • Your booking should be for holiday purposes only unless otherwise agreed in writing. The cottage must not be used for party purposes, weddings or filming without prior written agreement.
  • A Facility Fee may be payable for a function or party where the numbers using the property exceed the capacity the house can sleep. (4 adults plus an infant)
  • The property is as described, in good faith, on the website and all reasonable measures are made to ensure this is up to date and accurate.

Your Booking

You must be 18 years or over when you book the accommodation.
We have the right to refuse any booking prior to the issuing of any confirmation in writing. 

In order to secure a booking you need to make a deposit payment of 30% of the total rental. Payment should be made via Bank Transfer in GB Pound Sterling. We will hold a provisional booking for 2 days but we do not guarantee that this will still be available at the end of the 2 day period.

On receipt of your deposit, we will confirm your booking in writing. When you receive your confirmation you must check all the details carefully for accuracy and contact us immediately if you find any discrepancy. You are then responsible for payment of the balance of the rental, which is due no later than 6 weeks prior to your arrival. If your holiday is within the 6 week period, you are required to pay the full rental at booking.

Cancellation by You

**We would strongly advise that you take out Holiday/Cancellation Insurance**

If you have to cancel your reservation you must email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. as soon as the reason for the cancellation occurs. You must also confirm your cancellation by telephone on the mobile number 07377 371349. The day on which we receive the email cancellation is the day on which your reservation is cancelled.

Deposits are non-refundable, Your balance payment of 70% is refunded (less a £20 admin fee) only if we have been able to re-let the holiday dates subsequent to your cancellation.

Please note that should you cancel your booking prior to the balance due date, this amount still remains payable by you and is refunded (less an admin fee of £20) only if we have been able to re-let the holiday subsequent to your cancellation.

We strongly advise that your holiday insurance covers you for this.

Cancellation by Us

In exceptional circumstances we may find it necessary to cancel your booking and if so we will make all resonable efforts to offer a suitable alternative. If this is not acceptable and assuming the cancellation is not as a result of events beyond our reasonable control, which shall include but not be limited to events such as war, civil strife, terrorist activity, natural or man-made disaster, pandemics, fire, flood, and adverse weather conditions, we will refund any sum you have paid to us which shall constitute full and final settlement of any liability we may have to you as a result of such cancellation.

This does not affect your statutory rights.

Children 

Parents are responsible for supervising their children at all times.

Dogs

The cottage is dog friendly, with a maximun of 3 well behaved dogs welcome. We aim to maintain the high standard of repair and cleanliness in the cottage. Pets must not be allowed upstairs, in bedrooms or on furniture and soft furnishings. Dogs should not be left unattended in the property.
 
Dogs are charged at £25 each per stay. Please note your dog at time of booking.
 

Fuel

All fuel is included in the rental. Unlimited fuel and kindling for wood burning stove is provided. Wood is provided for the barbecue/firepit, but bring charcoal if you prefer.

We operate a strict No Smoking Policy inside Fiddle Hill Cottage. This includes the use of e-cigarettes. Should guests breach this agreement, a cleaning charge of £100 will be charged

Check in & Check out

You can arrive at the cottage after 4pm on the start date of your holiday and you must vacate the property by 10am on your final day. These timings are vital to enable prepareation and maintenance of the cottage for all guests. Please do respect this.

You agree to keep the cottage clean and tidy and to leave it in a similar condition of cleanliness to when you arrived. Following your departure, any additional cleaning, beyond the normal amount reasonably required, may be charged for. 

The numbers in your party must never exceed the stated house capacity which is 4 adults and 1 infant.

Allergies

We are unable to guarantee a previous guest has not consumed or used a product in the property that is one of the 14 registered allergens. Every effort is taken to ensure a thorough clean between guests Food.Gov.UK

Liability

We accept no responsibility for any loss or damage that may occur to you, your car or associated property whilst stayiong at Fiddle Hill Cottage. We are insured against loss or injury through negligence. In the absence of any negligence or other breach of duty by us, the use by Tenants of any house or its facilities is entirely at their own risk. We strongly recommend that guests are insured for personal accident and medical insurance.

Privacy and Data Protection

 We take your privacy and confidentiality seriously. We collect: (a) information necessary for us to process your booking; and (b) information derived from “cookies”. We use cookies to monitor site usage and related information. We will try to keep your data up-to-date and accurate but we provide no warranty or guarantee and bear no liability to you in the event that any data transmission over the internet is not completely accurate or secure. We use your information to help us improve our website and our service, to personalise the types of information you receive from us, as well as for internal statistical, marketing, and administrative reasons. We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to process your booking. By using this website, and supplying us with your information, you consent to the use by us of your information as described above.

Confirming receipt of your Booking Confirmation email acknowledges your acceptance of these terms and conditions. Payment of the Full or Initial charge also indicates acceptance of these terms and conditions.
